Seriously? this is stupid! wtf? Chink in the armor is a famous commonly used phrase; It has nothing to do with the fact that Jeremy Lin is Asian.. If the writer and the ESPN anchor refused to use this phrase because he is Asian- that would be racism. Are all of you fucking stupid? You may have just ruined that writer’s life- he may never be hired again because hes “racist”

….Except the title was clearly a double entendre, referencing the phrase “chink in the armor” and playing off the fact that Jeremy Lin is Asian.  There is no other way that headline would make sense for anyone else; it’s actually quite awkward.  The “chink” in the “armor” is JEREMY LIN.  Using a racial slur for word play? Still motherfucking racist.

Yeah, I was really confused when everyone started freaking out about the title, partly because I was pretty sure chink in the armor was used a lot and partly because I didn’t know what the hell it meant, racial wise :|

….see, that’s the problem.  ”Chink” is actually on par with “nigger” when a white person uses it.  It’s got a long history of really bad usage, and only recently, it’s started to be reclaimed. But the thing is…when a minority group reclaims a slur, it’s still only ok for that minority group to use it, and then, only in very specified ways.
